Live, from Whitefish...its...

Saturday Night.

I'm guessing the concert starts around 7:30 or 8:00-ish. That's PM. It's at the Bohemian Grange in Whitefish, behind Coffee Traders. From what I understand space is kind of limited, so it's $7 with a costume, $10 without. I think there's food and drinks and stuff too, but I could be wrong.

Flip Wilsons and Vintage Argyle.

Also Mr. Grey is playing later in the night in Kalispell at the Elks Lodge just past the thrift store.

Should be enough music to pull a relative Samhain all nighter. Hope you all are safe and have a good time.

JUST IN: The Flips will be playing at "the Hive" after the Bohemian show. Hope to see you there.

Closing in...

The fog has closed in, haven't seen the mountains in days.
Beginning to feel nauseatingly isolated.
I've torn a muscle in my arm, and it's excruciating to play.

I read the dedication and first paragraph to Neil Gaiman's
new book Anansi Boys. The only thing that's made me
laugh out loud all day. Good to know I have an old friend
waiting for me come the weekend.

Internet.
Interact.
Network.
This keeps repeating in my head.
I've thought of an experiment.

Talk to you again this weekend.
Be safe.

Aquarium

Here's a bit I did about a year ago. Like the last track, it's one I did off the cuff on the side.

Aquarium

So many vivid colors,
passing to and fro behind the glass.
No one knows us here.
She is waiting.
He is contemplating.
No one knows my dear.
Relaxing infront of you,
noticing, enticed.
So many vivid colors.
Did you get tired
of waiting for the pay-off
and fake your own,
as they passed to and fro behind the glass?
Didn't want to eat alone,
and think about the pay-off,
so many beautiful colors
you couldn't touch behind the glass.
Had to touch something
to feel the time pass.
Engine got too hot,
had to let off steam,
taking your own pay-off,
or is this just a dream?
So many vivid colors,
and illusions of so many more,
passing on both sides of the glass,
anticipating plans in store.
The door is finally locked,
the plane won't land for days,
so many vivid colors,
burning in this smoky haze.

One big doe 3rd Eye...

I'm going to start a second job soon in an effort to build up as much money as possible to facilitate my relocation in December. This means less work gets done that is beneficial to this page, but it also means I'll eventually find myself in a better and more creative environment. And I'll get to finally have a pet.

I decided I'll start putting stuff out that won't be on the record, and won't ever be released anywhere else. The first one I'm putting up is a track called Synergy, it's kind of a little sonic polaroid of a night I had a little over a month ago. I just had to excercise what I was feeling and the whole song kind of tumbled out in a day. It's nice to be incredibly inspired and get to hang out in the flames of the muse, who whispered a slight approval so, here it is. www.soundclick.com/nautili

The drawing ended up coming a couple of weeks later, which was inspired by Synergy, and in turn inspired another song which will be on the album, which I call 'Ashera' (go ahead, Google it) but that may change. There's going to be a nice version in the near future. This is just a photo from my sketchbook, tweaked a bit for the mood.

Once I get a few more songs up, I'm going to upgrade to the hi-def account, which should provide me with a few more options as far as getting the music to you.

The Flip Wilsons are taking a break right now, with John gone on vacation, but they'll be back in full swing at the end of the month playing a series of shows. CDs will be available, and I'll give the dates as they close in.

Not sure how the timeline is going to work out. The new songs are fairly stripped and edgy, and the material I'm writing is much more in vain with why I began playing music in the first place.
I've been really sick lately for a variety of reasons, but I'm recovering now.

Cutting the 2nd in a series of live Flip Wilsons shows tommorrow. I'll talk to the band then, and decide on a song they might want to put up. I need to figure out a few hosting options for the songs, because I know as soon as I start posting MP3's my space is going to drop right through the floor.

Should be something neat here by next weekend.

Caramel on whipped cream...it's a good look, really.

So then...

This is my little spot to bring people up to date on what I'm doing with Onieronaut Studios, as well as a place for St. Pinkus to say his peace about things. Onieronaut Studios is a little audio, video, graphic studio and collective that I formed over half a decade ago, and originally went by the name Blooming Inertia.

So whats new? I'm currently recording, engineering, and producing an album for a band called "The Flip Wilsons," which is about half way done. I'm also finishing up what will be the first official Nautili EP for release around Halloween sometime. There will be more news (and some other goodies) regarding both of these things very soon. (I just need to play around with this format and see what I can and can't get away with.) I'm also put the finishing touches on my graphic novel story, Nefandus Machina, which ties into my Nautili project.

What to expect in the next couple of updates; first images from the GN, music (if I'm allowed), and pictures of me riding a zebra.
